As mothers in this social media world, we have this expectation of how and what our lives are supposed to look like, the same goes with breastfeeding. We don’t often talk about the road bumps, detours, or even when things change suddenly. As we normalize breastfeeding, the hope is that we empower more women to reach out and ask for help when things don’t go according to plan. There are so many wonderful resources and individuals who are trained to help when things don’t work. I know I’ve had to seek help with first born and I am so thankful for the help. Todays featured mom is a mom of 3 lovely kids and is now breastfeeding twins, here is what she has to say:
Breastfeeding has many wonderful benefits for both mom and baby! However, not every mother can breastfeed for varying reasons. Many moms find they must supplement or are exclusively pumping. The expectations we place on ourselves as new mothers can be overwhelming and detrimental to our own health. Having an encouraging network of friends and family to turn to for support is vital. Instead of judging others lets help build each other up.
