We kick off August 1st-7th with World Breastfeeding Week 2019! If you're new to my page, I capture the journey of motherhood with my camera. I specialize in maternity, birth, fresh 48, newborns and nursing sessions. I absolutely adore what I do. World Breastfeeding Week is celebrated every year during the first week of August. The celebration is to encourage breastfeeding as well as improve the health of babies around the world. Breastfeeding also has a many other wonderful health benefits not only for the baby, but for mom as well.

This week I have asked a few moms who I’ve had the opportunity to meet to share in their own words, their journey about motherhood and/or breastfeeding. These blogs are solely to encourage and uplift others who may be struggling or need words of encouragement. Not every mother can breastfeed and that is ok! No matter how a baby receives its nourishment, “fed is best”! Make sure to check back in each day for a new blog post.

“As of August 1st, I am 15 months into breastfeeding! My son has never had formula or cow’s milk, due to his allergies. For the last three months, I also have been dairy-free as well to continue breastfeeding. Breastfeeding has been the most rewarding experience of my life and the hardest, it also has been the sweetest way to bond with my son!”
